Are You Barren?

Genesis 25:21

"Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant."

Thoughts:

In the verse above, it talks about Isaac praying for his barren wife and the Lord answered his prayer, his wife Rebekah became pregnant.

Maybe, you're also like Rebekah who has no child yet and you really want to have kids, all i can say is you just come to the Lord and pray for your womb. Or maybe, you're a husband, like Isaac who is really wanting to have a baby or babies, just come to the Lord and ask God to bless the womb of your wife.

I saw many times how God answered the desires of mothers to have kids. One time, i visited one of my brothers who was newly wed and before i went home, i prayed for them to have babies. After two weeks, they reported that my sister in law got pregnant- it was a honeymoon baby.

I also have two friends i've prayed for, one of them was asking God to have a baby because she has been waiting for a baby for a year, then when she called me, i told her, "Can i pray for you?" and she said, "Sure". Then i prayed for her to have a baby and she agreed as we prayed then a few months later, i found out that she became pregnant and that baby is now 11 months, healthy and handsome.

My other friend was really wanting to have a baby as soon as possible so we agreed in prayer, then a few weeks later, she was already pregnant. That's the power of prayer. Now, her kid is already in his one year plus, healthy and handsome.

God will not withhold anything good from those who ask him. Psalm 127:3 says, "Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him."

Remember Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth , Rebekah and other women in the Bible that asked God for children, God didnt withhold answer to their prayers. Psalm 113:9 says, " He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD." Genesis 30:22 "Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb."

Or maybe, you're not barren but you already have a child and you want another one, just come to God and ask him.

And to husbands who have been promised by God that their wives will have babies and yet you havent seen that promise yet, here are verses for you:

Romans 4:18-20  "Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."
